The sheer, universal tint does double duty. Cosmetically, it melts into most skin tones to blur imperfections and even the complexion solving the white cast that puts so many people off mineral SPF, and often replacing the need for a separate tinted moisturiser. Protectively, the iron oxides behind the tint help defend against visible light, which research links to worsening pigmentation and melasma something untinted sunscreens don't address.

Apply generously every morning as the final step of your skincare routine after moisturiser, before or instead of make-up. Shake or stir if needed, then dot across the face and blend outwards with fingertips, using around two finger-lengths for the face and neck. Blend at the jawline and hairline for a seamless finish. Allow a minute to set before applying make-up over the top. Reapply every two hours during prolonged sun exposure, and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying. Use daily year-round, and especially diligently after chemical peels, laser or microneedling treatments when skin is most vulnerable to pigmentation.
